These washable fabric masks/covers include shaping wire across the bridge of the nose and a filter pocket (filter not included). Proceeds will help cover costs for shipping donated mask covers being provided free of charge to healthcare workers and vulnerable populations (see donation listing here and email or DM to order). You may choose your design from the available fabric options, or select 'grab bag' for a lower price. The grab bag masks may or may not be one of the fabric selections pictured. All masks are made of 100% cotton, wire, and elastic (knotted adjustable ear loops). Elastic color will vary. Please note the following information prior to usage:
1. These are not medical grade/rated masks. They are intended as washable covers for medical grade masks or for use in non-infectious environments. No performance guarantees are provided.
2. Check before each wear that the wire across the top is still enclosed and no ends are protruded after washing. On the inside of the mask under the top pleat there is an opening to insert a filter if desired (filter not included). *Adjust the sizing on elastic ear loops prior to tightening knots.*
3. Please practice appropriate mask wearing practices including (but not limited to) washing before first use and in between each use, touching only ear straps and bridge of nose when dressing (& no touching of fabric portion during use), using dedicated storage space for dirty masks after use, and washing hands before and after handling of clean or dirty mask. Please refer to reputable sources on the internet for mask wearing and removal best practices.
4. Mask may be machine or hand washed with normal detergent. Air drying is recommended, but mask may be machine dried on low if necessary. Tighten elastic knots prior to machine washing. Bridge wire will deform with machine wash/drying but can be easily re-formed with clean hands prior to use. Mask may be ironed prior to use. Do not microwave to sterilize.
